Hi, I’m Lisa.

I’m a laboratory scientist and a technical communicator with a passion for helping people find answers.
Alongside my clinical work as an ASCP board-certified Medical Laboratory Scientist, I am pursuing a Master of Science degree in Technical Communication to expand my contributions beyond the lab bench. What motivates me is delivering trustworthy answers that empower people – whether that’s through diagnostic testing or through the accessible communication of technical information.
My professional goals lie in the field of health communications, where I can bridge STEM expertise with clear, impactful communication strategy that will produce better outcomes for every stakeholder.
After nine years of experience in the medical laboratory, I’ve developed a strong results-driven mindset. I’ve witnessed how great communication can break down barriers and catalyze progress…and how poor communication can hold us back. This is why I love applying my skills to bring answers to the right people, at the right time, in just the right way.
Put simply, better communication = better results.

How I Work
The problems I love to solve are those that present an opportunity to improve user experience (UX) and communications across disciplines.
I approach every project with my results-driven mindset, grounding my process in a structured framework adapted from DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Whether I’m working independently or collaborating with a team, I prioritize defining the desired outcome and identifying what success should look like for users and stakeholders. From there, I gather the right information to develop design and implementation plans that are supported by data and mindful of real-world constraints.
I work with intention to develop UX and communications solutions that are intuitive, accessible, and responsive to the people they serve.
